Family First Health Celebrates Grand Opening in Apopka

Family First Health has officially opened its doors at 333 W. Main Street in Apopka, marking a significant milestone for the community's healthcare landscape.

 

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the clinic expressed gratitude to the Apopka Chamber of Commerce and attendees, stating, "From the kind words to the smiling faces—we felt the love from our community. This is just the beginning, and we're so grateful to be part of a city that believes in health, healing, and family first."

 

Founded by Kristen Roberts, a certified family nurse practitioner, Family First Health began as a telehealth practice in July 2024. After being laid off from a large healthcare company, Roberts saw an opportunity to address the gap in patient care. "They decided to just cut their patients—almost a third of them," Roberts recalled. "They let go of providers, and they left a lot of people without care."

 

Starting from home, Roberts expanded to a single-patient room in an imaging center before acquiring the current property late last year. Reflecting on this journey, she remarked, "It was all God's idea, because this is something that was way bigger than me. But whenever he calls you to do something, you just follow. So it's a big faith move for me, but He also knows I never would have left my job."

 

The clinic offers a range of services, including IV therapy, physicals, screenings, and more. Emphasizing affordability, Family First Health provides a $65/month membership program that includes free lab draws, discounted visits, and telehealth access. "If you don't have insurance, we're here," said Jason Roberts, Kristen's husband, at the ceremony. "If you do have insurance, we're here. We're trying to make this stuff affordable."

 

As Apopka continues to grow, the addition of Family First Health underscores the community's commitment to accessible and comprehensive healthcare for all residents.
